Various Things

School stuff: Meghan has been doing really well in school recently and has earned herself a dress down day, which she is taking advantage of today. Her grades are very good and she had been coming home on good behavior every day. The only time she didn't was those two days a few weeks ago when it turned out she wasn't feeling well.
I continue to volunteer on Mondays and Tuesdays, but yesterday was the first time in a long time I came up for morning recess. I will likely stick with this for next year, other factors depending, of course.
I watched the 8th graders and some of the 7th graders put on the Passion Play yesterday. Loved it. I cried, and I am not ashamed to admit that. Meghan said she enjoyed it, too.
Job hunt: Don't even ask. I am so frustrated. I have sort of given up on looking but maybe I will apply for a job at the Y for over the summer, at least. And enroll Meghan at their camp. But at the rate I am going, they will just ignore me. I really have lost faith in this matter. It is ridiculous. I am not applying to be the CEO of the fucking Hilton. Just regular, part time, run of the mill, hourly wage jobs. I know I shouldn't, but I kind of am taking this personally.
Church: I love love love my church. One of the few bright spots lately, the biggest being Meghan, who is my greatest joy. But, anyway. Church is great.
Skating: She has come a long way. She is still in the merit class and it will be quite some time before she graduates to the advanced class but the improvement is huge. She seems to really enjoy it as well and her confidence is gaining. She is getting new skates and they are on order. If they arrive on time they will be an Easter gift. She knows her skates are in need of replacing but she has no idea how soon it will happen!
Easter break plans: Since all three of us will be home on Good Friday we plan to visit the Franklin Institute to see the Pompei exhibit, among other things. Saturday will just be the usual skating lesson, then there is a farm type event going on in the city. Sunday I will take her to church for service and an egg hunt and decorating the cross on the front lawn with paper flowers made in Sunday School. Other than that, no clue.
Easter Monday is a school day to make up for a snow day.
