1 Cup Peanut Butter
1 cup White Sugar
1 Egg
Combine ingredients and bake for 8 minutes at 350*.
The time may vary. I ended up needing to bake them for a full 16 minutes before they were a consistency I like. And this recipe does not yield many cookies. But they are incredibly easy, not at all time consuming, and Meghan and I had fun mixing the ingredients together.

I finally busted out the Breadman that we'd gotten as a wedding gift and attempted to make bread yesterday evening. Both loaves did not turn out and I think that it was because I'd used rapid rise yeast and I shouldn't have. But I am determined to get this right so I'll use regular yeast the next time. I want to make basic white bread to start with until I get the feel for it and then I'll move up to wheat bread, rye, etc. It took me several times before I got the hang of making pizza dough. But I'm a bit disappointed-I was going to make French Toast for breakfast this morning had it turned out. We had pancakes instead and that was all right.

There was a puppet show instead of the usual storytime at the library tonight. It was holiday-themed and was really cute. It was interactive, so people got to dance and sing along with the puppets. It wasn't Punch and Judy, that's for sure. I.HATE.PUNCH.AND.JUDY. Meghan let me hold her for the entire time (about 35 minutes) and didn't fuss once, but she did get rather chatty a few times. Putting her down on the floor was not an option as she would have gotten underfoot, but she didn't want to sit with me in a chair, so standing and sort of rocking her worked. I'm so pleased by how well-behaved she is whenever we go out. Now, we just need to work on her at home.
She fell asleep on the way home and is in her crib now. I straightened up the largest of today's clutter a bit, but I'm eating dinner now and then I'm going to chill out and do the crossword puzzle. Meghan was in a good mood today, but she kept me on my toes so I'm tired. I think the only way that I'm going to really be able to batten down the hatches and clean the apt as well as I want to is to have it to myself and just take one room at a time.
On an unrelated note, but don't feel like making a seperate entry: I attempted and failed miserably to make a "hoe" cake. That's what inspired my Failure Cake recipe. Please don't ask. It was wretched.
And I also cut my own hair. Cut off several inches of split ends. Actually looks good-doesn't look like an unprofessional hack job at all. Too bad I don't have a working camera-I'd have taken before and after pics. But the knotty, ratty stuff is gone and it looks a lot healthier. It's now just to my shoulders and is still long enough to pull back if I want. I may just continue to do it myself since I like the length it is now.
*Edit*
She's now awake and had some milk and is eating a peanut butter sandwich
